The Area

The Grove is nestled between mountains, in a valley in a beautiful olive growing area of South Montenegro. There are many things of great interest close by.

The Old Town

Stari Bar fortress and old town hovers above our house. There are dozens of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, each with their own charming personality. The Fortress itself, a museum, is breathtaking, and it will take a good afternoon to inspect all its nooks and crannies.

The mountains

The Grove sits on numerous hiking trails into the mountains. Two 1600m peaks are hike-able from the doorstep, and we will point you in the direction of secret swimming spots and breathtaking viewpoints.

LAKE SKADAR

30 minutes drive away lies the enchanting Lake Skadar, the largest lake in Southern Europe and a haven for migratory birds. We can organise boat/kayak adventures, bird spotting and cycling. You can even hike there…

The COAST

Whether you are after an abandoned cove, a long sandy beach or a quaint fishing harbour, we know the spot for you. The coast is 4km away, but with public bus connections and easy parking, it feels like its on our doorstep.
